Getting Started with Arc on Windows!Thank you so much for agreeing to test this early version of Arc on Windows!

This is a very early version of Arc for Windows, we ask that you please not share your logins with others — or even the download link! 🙏

We’re really excited to get your feedback and bug reports on these early builds so we can make Arc for Windows the best it can be!

OnboardingStep 1: Download and Install Arc for WindowsYou will have received a download link via email.

If you’re having trouble downloading from the email we sent you can download from here.

Once Arc for Windows has been downloaded, open the installer from your downloads folder and follow the prompts.

Make sure Arc for Windows beta is installed on the same drive as your Windows installation (typically C:) as it will not run as expected otherwise

Step 2: Sign in to ArcPlease note that during the external testing period your Arc Member email needs to be on our allow list for you to sign in or create an account. Even if you have an Arc Member account for Arc for Mac, you will not be able to use Arc for Windows unless you are on the allow list.

You will need to sign in to use Arc for Windows.You will be able to sign in with the email you used to sign up for the Arc for Windows beta waitlist or the email that was invited via Arc for Windows Buddy Day.If the email you are using to sign in to Arc for Windows matches your Arc for Mac account, use the same password.Otherwise, sign up separately via ‘create an account’ using the email you used to sign up for the Arc for Windows beta waitlist of Arc for Windows Buddy Day

Please note that your Arc account password must be 8+ characters with one letter and number.

Step 3: Start testing Arc for Windows!*Please note that we’re not at full feature parity with Arc for macOS in this early build of Arc for Windows. Check out the Arc Basics folder in your Sidebar to get an idea of what is capable in this build.

If there’s an Arc feature that you just can’t live without, please do let us know via the Feedback option in the Bug Reporter form.*

Please use Arc for Windows as much as you can and provide feedback and bug reports through the Bug Reporter form.Please let us know about moments you stop using Arc or switch back to other browser and why through the Bug Reporter form.You can set Arc for Windows as your default browser in Windows Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Arc > Set default. Optional Step: Rebuild Your Sidebar from Arc for macOSThis early build of Arc for Windows does not support cross platform Sidebar sync.

However, if you’re already an Arc on macOS Member you can use the Share Spaces and Share Folders feature to help move your Spaces and Sidebar tabs over to the Arc for Windows beta. From there you can manually recreate your Sidebar in the Arc for Windows beta.

We no longer recommend importing your StoreableSidebar.json file from Arc for macOS as of Arc for Windows beta version 0.5.0.
